PIAA have become world-renowned for their comprehensive range of high quality bulbs, which are able to fit almost any vehicle available. Manufactured in Japan, they exhibit consummate levels of care and precision in their manufacture, so it comes as no surprise that they are the bulbs of choice for any car where performance is a must and they are favoured by most World Rally teams.
However, in spite of what one might think, they are not prohibitively expensive, and today we took it upon ourselves to test the PIAA Extreme White Plus in the H7 fitment. These bulbs arrived in a cleanly presented white box, and they radiated class and quality before we’d even unpackaged them, with a subtle blue tint to the glass. Don’t be perturbed – this tint does not mean that the ‘Extreme White’ labelling is entirely misleading, but rather the white light that is presented has a slight touch of blue to it; a rather attractive effect.
Once we’d put the bulbs into our test car, they truly lived up to their description, throwing out a crisp white light that made night time driving much less daunting. We found ourselves enjoying a greatly improved field of view, as the increased range of light meant that we picked up things that would have otherwise gone unnoticed with factory standard bulbs. Furthermore, the Extreme Whites, in spite of their excellent performance, have a low power draw of only 65/55 watts, and they even comply with European regulations.
Retailing at only £49.99, the Extreme White Plus H7s are only one part of an excellent range available at PIAAOnline. Pick up a set today, and you’ll be amazed at how you went without them before!
